Welcome to Project: WHOA! This site was inspired by the high school girls that I taught this past summer at Princeton who were ambitious, intelligent, enthusiastic women, many of whom had no idea what they wanted to be when they grew up. If they did, they didn't know how to get there. In lunchtime conversations with them, I discovered that they had a very narrow scope of career options in their heads and their idea of what certain careers were like was frequently inaccurate, unless they happened to have friends or relatives already in those careers. When they asked me to tell them about careers other than my own, I discovered that I wasn't much better off. So I decided to create this website to help all the women out there preparing for careers or preparing to change careers. What could be better than a whole network of friends or relatives to share an insider's view of their careers with us? I hope you'll help me. We need multiple profiles for each career, so please contribute even if someone has the same career as you. Also, this site is a work in progress and changes quite literally every day, so keep checking back =) and hopefully it will keep looking better!
